In 1978 Mike Melvin started Mike Melvin Carpentry as a part time job. He remodeled homes, built decks, and garages in the Neillsville area as a part time job. In 1988 after 20 years of experience in the mobile home and modular home industry, Mike quit his full time job and started running Mike Melvin Carpentry full time. As his sons grew up they worked with their Dad and learned the business. Cory stayed on with his Dad and in May, 2012 Mike and Cory formed a partnership as Melvin Construction LLC. They have built many beautiful new homes in the Neillsville, Black River Falls, and surrounding areas. They have also set and finished many modular homes and have built additions and garages onto them.
